Our Values

These are the core values that shape Vulcan’s mission, influence its decisions, and drive the way it approaches socialism in everything it does.

Republicanism

Severing of remnant ties with colonial authorities and the establishment of a new, sovereign state.

National Rediscovery

Overcoming the present confusion in national identity between New Zealand and Aotearoa, promoting the rediscovery and cultivation of a revolutionary patriotic tradition via New Zealandia.

Anti-Imperialism

Ending both the historic and ongoing submission, complicity and victimisation of the South Pacific to global imperialism via civilisational integration of island peoples under a unified Zealandian banner.

Class struggle

Recognition that the class struggle is the driving force of history and standing on the side of the masses against capital.

Vanguardism

The creation of a mass party, the establishment of a party-state that operates not on bourgeois parliamentary democracy but democratic centralism.

Reindustrialisation

Accelerating technological progress, the building up of industry and infrastructure with harmonious and sustainable control over the forces of nature through widespread nationalisation and regional integration.

Internationalism

Support of the international proletarian movement, opposing racial and religious chauvinism, fraternity with global anti-imperialism.
